Take a look at Flimble.com, a PR2 bidding directory and a great place to start your directory campaign.
Like other bidding directories, the more you bid the higher your link will be displayed on the directory. And or course the aim is to get as high up in the directory as possible for more traffic (and front page results have a higher PR).
Unlike other bidding directories, Flimble has some unique features such as site logos (instead of thumbnail screenshots), detailed descriptions, site stats and user comments.
With the addition of user comments, I have found this directory to be extremely social and the user feedback can be extremely valuable.
